In honor of the eccentric Hunter S. Thompson (author of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas") Rose Signor has created the Henry S. Mash. Below is the recipe for making this outstanding cocktail.
5 Mint Sprigs
2 oz Old Crow Bourbon
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1 oz Ginger Syrup
1/2 oz Aperol
2 Dashes Bitters
Build the mint, Old Crow, lemon juice, ginger syrup, Aperol and bitters in a high ball glass. Lightly muddle ingredients (you don't want to break the leaves up, you just want to bruise them so they will release their oils). Fill glass with ice, top with soda water and stir. Garnish with a mint sprig. Enjoy!!!
