The Bazaar has launched Bazaar Bar Flights, a night of curated cocktails that’s just an amazing deal. For $55 a person, you get a cocktail “omakase” of sorts. The flight includes six drinks including the cocktail sphere shown above.
First you spritz gin into your mouth from a perfume atomizer and take in the cocktail sphere. This one is cava flavored. I loved the plane spoon. You could make the plane zig zag towards your mouth like a parent feeding their child.

We couldn’t go to The Bazaar and not have any of the food. And Chef Jose Andres is one of my favorite chefs. We started with some simple cheese and the wonderful tomato bread. (pa’amb tomaquet).
Our first drink was the LN2 caipirinha which is frozen by whisking it with liquid nitrogen. If you have never had a modernist cuisine cocktail, this is a beautiful way to get introduced to the techniques (and show!).

One of my favorite dishes at The Bazaar is the guacamole. These little bites are so perfectly presented and makes you wonder why you have to dip your chips into guac yourself next time. Just have the corn chips mixed in!
Benjamin Franklin’s Milk Punch
The next drink was Ben Franklin’s punch which is a clarified milk punch. I loved the fun milk box shaped glass. I think I’d be a different person if I drink this as a child (just kidding, booze responsibly!).

Although I’m a big “We Want Plates” fan, it would be a shame not to enjoy the whimsical presentations such as the chicken croquettes in a shoe (not a real shoe, don’t worry).

As expected, the chicken croquettes were delicious. I loved that bechamel sauce with the chicken.
Pliska is named after a regular who stays hundreds of nights at the SLS every year, the hotel where The Bazaar is located. It’s a variation of the classic Bazaar drink, Smoke on the Water.

tuna ceviche and avocado roll
The tuna ceviche and avocado roll is a cool spin on a tuna roll. It’s filled with tuna, coconut and jicama.
I am very much a chicken wings lover and these from The Bazaar are just so cute and tasty. Be sure to smear a little bleu cheese sauce on.
Ramos Gin Fizz
The big show stopper drink is the Ramos Gin Fizz. When the entire bar staff is wrangled into helping shake the drink, you’re in for a treat.

cotton candy foie gras
I am actually surprised that this was the first time I had the cotton candy wrapped around foie gras. It was delicious. Mm, foie.
The drinks end with a mini porron of cava. Although I’m sure they’d give you a glass, it’s best drunk pouring it directly in your mouth!
The flan was actually paired earlier in the evening but I still think of it as dessert.
Jose Andres’ Iberico mezcal
And we couldn’t leave without trying Chef Jose Andres’ Iberico mezcal from Del Maguey. And of course you should get the cured meats and the iberico to go with the mezcal!
