Bruce Cost Ginger Ale

Ginger Ale is so hot right now! BevMo! alone carries more than 40 dozen different varieties of Ginger Ale. And believe it or not, they all taste quite different.

We got some great cocktail recipes from Bruce Cost Ginger Ale based in Brooklyn, NY, so we thought we’d share them with you. But first, here’s a little info about Bruce Cost Ginger Ale. The Ginger Ale first gained popularity in Bruce Cost’s, Big Bowl Asian restaurants. His customers loved the lip-smacking fresh ginger ale so he started bottling it in Brooklyn for retail sale. And now here it is in BevMo!

The Ginger Ale is delicious, sparkling and rich with whole ginger (long enjoyed for digestive comfort.) Unique among ginger ales, it’s made with only fresh ginger {no ginger extracts} and pure cane sugar.

They do have some varieties with flavors – like jasmine tea and passion fruit – and they only use fresh ingredients. Grab a bottle of this favorite, shake slightly before pouring. You’ll find it has the adult “mouth feel” of a beer or wine. It even provides iron, calcium and a little vitamin A and C.

Here are three great cocktail recipes to try:

GIN & GINGER
Fill 8 oz glass with ice
1 oz fine gin (Hendricks or Bombay Sapphire)
5 oz Bruce Cost Ginger Ale (Original or Passion Fruit)
0.5 oz fresh lemon or lime juice
Garnish with lime
Tasty Option: muddle 6-8 fresh cilantro leaves in bottom of glass before making drink
Note: Any of our flavors will work! Creating different drinks!

GINGER MOJITO
Put leafy 5” spring of mint standing in a 10 oz glass
Fill with ice
Add 2 oz fine rum (Ron Zacapa Centenario or other fine brand)
4-5 oz Bruce Cost Original Ginger Ale
1.5 oz fresh lime juice
Garnish with lime wedge

SCOTCH & GINGER HIGHBALL
0.5 oz Scotch (Compass Box Whiskey or other artisanal blend)
1.5 oz Bruce Cost Ginger Ale
