Malibu and Tipsy Scoop are back for National Rum Day with two unique summer cocktails, Malibu N Chill Rum Punch and the Pina Colada Float, created for those who might prefer to enjoy their rum with ice cream.

These unconventional cocktails are delicious and easy-to-make beverages, perfect for beating the heat during the final weeks of summer. For those who prefer a more traditional rum drink, there is also the classic Malibu Piña Colada recipe below. Enjoy!

Malibu N Chill Rum Punch

  • 3 parts Malibu Original Rum
  • 6 parts Pineapple Juice
  • 2 parts Orange Juice
  • 6 parts Ginger Ale
  • 2 pints of Malibu Piña & Chill ice cream
  • Gummy fruit wedge
  • Maraschino cherries

Instructions: In a large punch bowl, mix together Malibu Original Rum, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Using a large ice cream scooper, scoop 8 large scoops of Malibu Piña & Chill ice cream into a punch bowl. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with Gummy fruit wedges and maraschino cherries.

Piña Colada Float

  • 1 pint Malibu Piña & Chill ice cream
  • 1 part Malibu Original Rum
  • 1 part Pineapple Juice
  • 1 part Coconut Cream
  • Pineapple slices for garnish
  • Sour belts – assorted flavors for garnish

Instructions: Using a blender, scoop 4 scoops (or whole pint) of Malibu Piña & Chill ice cream into a blender. Top with Malibu Original Rum, Pineapple Juice, and Coconut Cream. Blend on high for 30 seconds. Serve in a high rocks glass. Garnish with Pineapple slice and sour belts.

Classic Malibu Pina Colada

  • 1 part Malibu Original
  • 1 ½ part Pineapple juice
  • ½ part Coconut cream

Instructions: Pour everything in a shaker with ice, shake, pour and enjoy. Garnish: Slice of pineapple.
