Vacation season is in full swing, and when you crave cocktails for weekends at the lake it may be tempting to pack your whole bar. Make cuts in your cooler by using craft syrups and mixes for drinks on the go without sacrificing flavor. Here are three cocktails to make on the fly with minimal tools – and only three ingredients each!
2 Lemon Wedges
2 oz Johnny Drum
1 oz Jack Rudy Sweet Tea Syrup
Pour Jack Rudy Sweet Tea Syrup and Johnny Drum Bourbon over ice, squeeze in lemon wedges, drop into glass, and stir. This cocktail can easily be batched to serve the whole group. If you’re feeling frisky, top it off with a shandy to give it a pop!

Regan Orange Fashioned
2 Orange Wedges
2.5 oz Buffalo Trace
3 Dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters
Muddle orange wedges with Regan’s Orange Bitters. Add ice, Buffalo Trace, and stir. For a less spirit-forward cocktail, add a splash of water or club soda. Tip – if you don’t have a muddler handy, use the handle of a wooden spoon or ice cream scoop!

4-5 Wild Berries (Blackberries, Raspberries, Gooseberries, etc.)
2 oz Four Roses Single Barrel
1 oz Gents Toasted Oak Ginger Syrup
Muddle berries with Gents Toasted Oak Ginger Syrup, add ice and Four Roses, then stir. If you can’t find berries, try using herbs such as lavender or rosemary. Never use berries you can’t identify!
