To get into the spirit of Halloween we've compiled our favorite cocktails fit for the season whether you're throwing a frightening fête at your home or heading out on the town:
While the kids are home stuffing there face with everything from Willly Wonka's chocolate factory, have a little grown-up sugar-fueled fun of your own. Head to Club Macanudo and imbibe in the Duke of York White Chocolate Martini and order up some of their signature Warm Chocolate Truffles, heck, go all out and have a cigar.
All October long Ofrenda in the West Village is offering Dia De Los Muertos cocktail and food specials. Don't miss your chance to get your mouth on El Peloton de la Muerte - El Peloton de la muerte Mezcal, Cointreau, lime juice, agave, cilantro, papaya, sal de guano (pictured right) or the Camote Margarita - Tequila, sweet potato, triple sec, lemon juice, agave, xocolatl mole bitters, chile ancho salt (pictured left).
A trip up to Amsterdam Tavern is a trip worth taking for the Pumpkin cocktails alone. This gastropub is your perfect neighborhood bar. The White Pumpkin and Pumpkin Martini will have you wishing those decorations never have to come down.
If you want to wait till fright night is over and the trick-or-treaters are hibernating with their left-overs, head to the seasonal Celsius at Bryant Park where pumpkin ingredients debut on November 1st. Order the Pumpkin Spice Margarita complete with Pumpkin Spice Schnapps and house made pumpkin simple syrup.
Looking for an all around frightening fête? Don't miss Hudson Hotel's Hudson Hostel Halloween Party.
