Get 'Em While It's Cold!

Though we all complain a little bit when the temperatures drop below freezing, there are still some perks, we get to pull out our cute winter hats & coats and most importantly we get to enjoy cocktails that we will only see on menus this time of year.

Head to any of the Palm locations as they'll have 2 special cocktails just for the month of December featuring Casamigos, the tequila brought to you by George Clooney & Rande Gerber ahem. So if it's good enough for them, well, hand it over!
Here's what they're serving at all Palm locations all December long:

NUTMEG & HONEY
1½ ounces Casamigos Reposado
¾ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
¾ ounce honey syrup*
Dash of Nutmeg
Honey for garnish
Sugar for garnish
Combine Casamigos Reposado, lime juice, honey syrup, and ground nutmeg in a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Rim a rocks glass with honey and sugar. Pour cocktail into the glass and serve. Add a Palm Stirrer.
*Honey Syrup- 50/50 ration of honey to water

FIRESIDE MARGARITA
2 oz Casamigos Blanco
2 oz chili syrup (see recipe below)
2 oz fresh lime juice
Fill Shaker with cube ice. Add 2 oz Casamigos Blanca, 2 oz chili syrup* and 2oz lime juice. Cap and shake well. Strain into a martini glass filled with crushed ice.
*Chili Syrup
6 cups water
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp crushed red pepper flake
In a pot, combine 6 cups water with 1 cup of sugar and 2 tbsp. of crushed red pepper flake. Reduce by half. Remove from heat, strain and chill.

Nothing makes us happier than a Holiday Happy Hour. SingL, the craft cocktail lounge near Union Square is offering a Very Merry Happy Hour 7 days a week from 4-6:30pm. Enjoy 20% off The Woodford Nutcracker (Woodford Reserve Bourbon, maple syrup and walnut bitters), the Naughty or Nice Cocktail (Chartreuse, lemon, vodka and gin); and the Southern Holiday Sour (a touch of peach nectar, lemon, Scotch and Bourbon).

Bathtub Gin is showcasing the Heads or Tails cocktail featuring a the 10 year old Speyburn Whisky. The whisky is mixed with Zucca Rhubarb Amaro, lemon juice and cane syrup so get off the chilly streets, make your way passed the coffee shop and soak up the seasonal libations in this bathtub.

We couldn't be more thrilled to welcome the Viceroy Hotel to NYC and their restaurant/bar Kingside from the renowned Gerber Group. As of last week, they've launched the 'Cartender' program. What is that you ask? Just free samples of their signature craft cocktails from their rotating menu served from a vintage bar cart from 5:30-6:30. No big deal… you know where to find us for Happy Hour!

You probably go 11 months out of the year without thinking about Eggnog but come December, it's on hundreds of menus, referenced in songs and served at holiday bashes. Need a recipe? Try the perfected recipe by Mixologist Jeremy Strawn from the recently opened Bo's Kitchen & Bar Room:

HOMEMADE EGGNOG
1.5 ounces spiced rum (preferably Sailor Jerry)
1 ounce heavy cream
1 ounce simple syrup
1 whole egg
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Procedure: Shake for two minutes without ice and another two minutes with ice. Strain into a sifter and serve.
