E.&J. Gallo is launching a new line of aperitifs under the Lo-Fi brand in a collaboration with Philadelphia’s Quaker City Mercantile. The Lo-Fi range, which is debuting this fall in the San Francisco on-premise market, was developed by Quaker City—whose founder Steve Grasse created the Hendrick’s gin, Sailor Jerry rum and Art in the Age spirits brands—and is produced at Gallo’s Northern California facility. Lo-Fi, made with California wine and cold-extracted whole botanicals and packaged in 750-ml. bottles, initially will include a Sweet Vermouth (16.5% abv), Dry Vermouth (16.5% abv) and Gentian Amaro (16% abv).
Campari America is adding a new Coastal Cranberry offering to its Skyy Infusions line of flavored vodkas. Launching nationwide, Skyy Infusions Coastal Cranberry (35% abv) joins the brand’s existing range of 14 flavors, and is line-priced at $14 a 750-ml. bottle.
Houston, Texas-based International Spirit & Beverage Group (ISBG) is introducing Besado Tequila, a new line of premium Tequila infused with an herbal blend of Maca, Damiana and ginseng. For its launch in the New York and Miami markets, the company has partnered with MetLife Stadium and south Florida restaurant chain Blue Martini. ISBG expects to launch Besado nationwide in early 2016. Besado Tequila is priced at $54.99 a 750-ml. for the Platinum expression and $64.99 for the Oro.
Iconic Brands is extending its Sangre de Vida franchise with a new mezcal expression. Sangre de Vida Mezcal, which joins the brand’s existing Tequila offerings, is at 45% abv and retails at $50 a bottle. It’s rolling out across 13 states.
