Along with tricked-out tents and Wi-Fi, glamping sites are starting to roll out serious drink programs, proving that camping is no longer child’s play. These are six spectacular spots that will keep you well lubricated as you frolic in the great outdoors.

     Prospect Hotel Management

California-based AutoCamp has taken off since renting out its first luxe Airstream trailer in 2016. Thanks to its prime location in the vineyard-rich Russian River Valley, it’s a sure bet that your glamping weekend comes with a side of wine. The property’s modern Clubhouse pavilion regularly hosts free wine tastings for guests—often in partnership with local producers known for pinot noir, like Harvest Moon and Marimar Estate—along with pouring local craft beers.

  • Clayoquot Wilderness Resort (Tofino, British Columbia)

    Clayoquot Wilderness Resort

This luxurious eco-resort is located within a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve and provides top-notch service for its 50 guests from the moment they arrive via floatplane. Guests spend the day horseback riding through old-growth forest or on whale- or bear-watching tours. After 4 p.m., the action is at the outdoor lounge, where small plates accompany local wines and barrel-aged cocktails. The Ivanhoe Glass Lounge Bar, an adults-only space with comfy lounge seating, game tables and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the estuary, serves craft cocktails from its antique bar, and hosts wine and whiskey tastings and mixology workshops.

    Dunton Destinations

Surrounded by 500 acres of meadows, forest and riverbanks, this former cattle ranch from the 1800s now hosts luxe glamping accommodations every summer, boasting eight safari-style tents, each outfitted with giant soaking tubs and mountain bikes for exploring the property’s trails. Every evening, wind down at the Smoky Campfire Cocktail hour, during which the Dunton staff serves house cocktails and flights of craft Colorado beer by the firepit. Visitors can also enjoy wines from the property’s own Sutcliffe Vineyards, located an hour down the canyon.

  • Firelight Camps (Ithaca, New York)

Set on a 70-acre estate in the Finger Lakes region, Firelight Camps creates an idyllic scene with its platform tents, complete with hardwood floors and plush beds, surrounded by hiking trails that lead to waterfalls, restaurants and vineyards. Every evening at sundown, the lobby tent’s full bar offers complimentary wine tastings to enjoy by the campfire. Keeping it super local, 90% of the craft beer, cider, spirits and wines served are from the Finger Lakes. Enjoy the laid-back vibe, bocce court and bonfire with a seasonal cocktail in hand, like the Post-Season, which mixes bourbon with maple liqueur, thyme syrup, local cider and house-made bitters.
