Mexican Royal Punch

This punch is smokey, tart, and sweet at the same time. A non-traditional crowd pleaser to be sure.

1oz mezcal

.5oz lemon juice

.5oz watermelon syrup*


pinch of smoked salt

Add the mezcal, lemon, and watermelon syrup to a glass. Add a very small pinch of smoked salt. (I like apple wood smoked salt.) Stir with ice to make it cold. Top with 2oz of cava. Garnish with some lemon wheels in the bowl.

*Watermelon Syrup: Juice some watermelon and then add sugar to watermelon juice. A 1:1 ratio is good, but you could go as high as 2:1.
