Did you know that August is National Peach Month? I did not, but I just need a good nudge at I’m aware and there! Drum up the peach emojis everyone.
So to celebrate, I decided to make a peach cocktail. DUH! C’mon. You know at this point that I am not going to make a peach cake. So got my filthy paws, which needs a mani so bad, on a bottle of Van Gogh Cool Peach Vodka… and whoa. Breath has been taken away.
Okay so what did I make, you are asking. Something PEACHY — and minty. I took some mint leaves from my friend Ross’ mother’s garden *shout out to them*. I was so happy NOT to run out to the grocery store and have the rest of the ingredients for
MINTY PEACH MARTINI Created by Jonathan Pogash, The Cocktail Guru
- 1-1/2 oz. Van Gogh Cool Peach Vodka
- 1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp. Agave Nectar
- 8-10 Mint Leaves
Add ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and shake very well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish a sprig of mint.
This cocktail is deeply delicious and I think would be fab with some thin mints or York peppermint patties… or maybe chocolate!
