Seasonal Cocktails For A Spirited Holiday

The flavors of the season are some of the most memorable, smells that bring you back to that New England lodge, tastes your palate meets in front of a burning fire, and textures that make you feel like you're in your mom's kitchen. This holiday whether you like vodka, rum, whiskey, you name it, there's a seasonal cocktail to whip up for any palate.


Candy Cane Martini
1 1/2 oz. Crystal Head Vodka
1 tsp. Peppermint Schnapps
1 oz. club soda
Mini Candy Cane for garnish
Pour vodka, Peppermint Shnapps, club soda and a handful of ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake until cold, and pour into a chilled martini glass. Hang mini candy cane over lip of glass.

Reyka Rose
1 part Reyka Vodka
1 part Lillet Rose
1/2 part Rose Wine
Stir together Reyka Vodka, Lillet Rose and Rose Wine. Pour into a chilled coupe glass.


Casa Noble Evergreen
1 oz. Casa Noble Crystal Tequila
1 oz. heavy whipping cream
1 oz. creme de cacao
1/2 oz. creme de menthe
Chocolate Sprinkles for garnish
Pour Casa Noble Tequila, cream creme de cacao, and creme de menthe over a handful of ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake until very cold, then strain into a chilled martini glass or other footed glass, rimmed with chocolate sprinkles.


Kilbeggan Boyne
Named after the River Boyne, which flows through the Boyne Valley in Co. Meath - home of the best Irish honey. Created by Josko Babic of KOH in Dublin, Ireland.
2 parts Kilbeggan® Irish Whiskey
1 tsp Boyne Valley® Wildflower Honey (or any locally sourced honey)
1/2 part Oloroso Sherry
1 dash Bitters
Method: Add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir to dissolve the honey. Add cubed ice and stir once again for 20-30 seconds until the drink is chilled ice cold. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with orange peel.

Kilbeggan Gingerbread Crunch
Recipe by Gillian Boyle of Fade Street Social in Dublin, Ireland.
1 3/4 parts Kilbeggan® Irish Whiskey
1 3/4 parts Freshly Pressed Apple Juice
2/3 part Cinnamon Syrup
1/3 part Lemon Juice
1/4 part Brown Sugar Syrup
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake and double strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish rim with crushed gingerbread biscuit and brown sugar. To garnish place gingerbread cookies/biscuits in a bag and use a rolling pin to crush. When fine, add brown sugar into mix.

Basil Hayden’s Spicy Yuletide Punch

6 parts Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
4 parts DeKuyper Ginger Liqueur
3 parts Fresh Lemon Juice
6 parts Pear Juice
2 parts Cinnamon Syrup
16 parts Prosecco
Add Basil Hayden’s Bourbon, ginger liqueur, lemon juice, pear juice and cinnamon syrup to a punch bowl, stir and refrigerate. When you're ready to serve add Prosecco. Serve over ice in a small punch glass.

Jameson Hot Apple
2 oz Jameson Whiskey
Hot apple cider
Cinnamon syrup
Cinnamon stick for garnish
2-3 slices of apple for garnish
Coat the bottom of an Irish coffee glass with one pump of cinnamon syrup. Add 2oz of Jameson whiskey. Fill with hot apple cider. Stir well. Garnish with the cinnamon stick, and fresh apple slices.


Cruzan Cinnamon Sugar Punch
2 Parts Cruzan Velvet Cinn
1/2 Part Cruzan Aged Dark Rum
1/4 part Lemon Juice
1/4 part Ruby Port
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher and whisk until sugar is dissolved. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Serve in cups without ice. Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg.


The Mint (can be served cold or hot)
1.5 oz Hennessy V.S
.5 oz Antica Formula Carpano Vermouth
Splash of lemon juice
Splash of simple syrup
2 dashes Fee Brothers old fashion bitters
1 oz cranberry juice
2 oz peppermint tea
Cold Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker tin and shake with ice until well chilled. Strain into a Collins glass with fresh ice, garnish with an orange twist. Serve in a collins glass
Hot Method: Add all non-alcoholic ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil, remove from heat and pour into heatproof glass, add all alcohol, garnish with an orange twist. Serve in a mug.

The North Star
2.5 oz Hennessy V.S
.25 oz maple syrup
1 dash Fee Brothers black walnut bitters
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Method: add all ingredients to a mixing glass and stir with ice until chilled. Strain into an old fashioned glass without ice and garnish with a star anise. Garnish with 1 star anise. Serve in a rocks glass.
