Fork Restaurant in Cornelius has a new fall cocktail that pairs perfectly with the cool air. The Spiced Apple Cider Old Fashioned uses a local whiskey, along with flavors of apple, cinnamon, orange, brown sugar and cardamom.

Ingredients:
1.50 oz. Defiant whiskey (from North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Distillery)
1.50 oz. local apple cider
0.25 oz. cinnamon brown sugar simple syrup
3 dashes cardamom bitters
1 dash Angostura bitters

Directions:
Add a splash of fresh squeezed orange juice (optional) and mix all ingredients together. Shake and strain into glass over ice. Garnish with orange peel and cinnamon stick.
