This Las Vegas Aku-Aku version of the classic tiki cocktail, the Zombie, is easy to make and delicious. Donn the Beachcomber is thought to have come up with it while he was helping with the cocktail menu for the Aku-Aku restaurant in Las Vegas. At least that is what I read in Beachbum Berry Remixed (and I trust everything I read in that book.)

Zombie (Aku-Aku)

.75oz gold Puerto Rican rum

.75oz dark Jamaican rum

.75oz Lemon Hart 151

.75oz lime juice

.75oz white grapefruit juice (sub pink)

.75oz cinnamon syrup

.5 teaspoon Zombie Mix (equal parts orange curacao, Pernod, grenadine, falernum)

1 dash Angostura bitters

Add all ingredients to a blender. Add ice and blend for 5 seconds. Pour into a tall Zombie glass and garnish with a mint sprig.
