How to Make Candy Corn-Infused Halloween Vodka

Love it or hate it, candy corn is here to stay—literally. It’s non-biodegradable.

The sticky legacy of this polarizing Halloween treat can be traced back to the 1880s. Some haters say we’re still eating the original batch today. Since then, candy corn has become a familiar trick-or-treat bag filler, even if not everyone actually enjoys it.

Today, 35 million pounds of the tri-color kernels are produced annually. That means you’ll likely have a stockpile of the waxy spikes sitting around during the month of October. To rid yourself of this surplus sucrose, turn your candy corn into a frightfully easy infused vodka.

If you’re serious about your sweets, sip this neon-hued nectar straight. Or, shake it with orange liqueur and citrus juice, and serve the cocktail to like-minded sweet tooths at your Halloween bash. This one goes out to all the candy corn lovers lurking in the shadows. Stand tall—this is your season.
